Christopher P. Lovelidge, 53, of Brenham, passed away January 15, 2011 in Scott and White Hospital in Temple. The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Tuesday evening, January 18, 2011, at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Christopher Lovelidge was born September 23, 1957 in Freeport, N.Y. to Thomas John and Agnes Schiller Lovelidge. He is survived by his mother, Agnes Lovelidge; special friend, Cathy Mason; brothers and sisters-in-law: Tom and Mary Ann Lovelidge, Greg Lovelidge, Steve and Shirley Lovelidge, Pete and Carol Lovelidge, Rob and Mary Lovelidge, and Jeff and Rosie Lovelidge, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was his father, Thomas J. Lovelidge, and a cousin, Susan Dippi Keegan. Chris had an entrepreneurial spirit. He had many ideas for business ventures. He owned several nightclubs in Houston and more recently, a vending business in Brenham. He had a lively spirit and a gift for gab. Friendly to all, he liked to joke and kid. His continuing health problems did not deter him from smiling, joking, and maintaining his business. Chris was larger than life, in spirit and in person. He will be missed by all who knew him.
