Clamens Tiemann, Sr.

September 2, 1923 — January 23, 2014

Clamens Tiemann, Sr., 90, husband of Ora Nell Hahn Tiemann, died January 23, 2014 at the family residence. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m., Sunday, January 26, 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem with Pastors Charles Parnell and Toby Burke officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Saturday evening from 5 until 7 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Clamens Tiemann, Sr. was born Sept. 2, 1923 in Rosenberg to Charles and Emma Mahlmann Tiemann. He served his country in the U. S. Army during the Korean War. He attended Blinn College, and on Dec. 5, 1948, he married Ora Nell Hahn at Eben Ezer Lutheran Church of Berlin. Employed at Beaumier Iron Works for 23 years, he then worked 17 years at Brenham Wholesale Grocery Co., and was a member of Salem Lutheran Church of Salem. Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Ora Nell Tiemann; sons and daughters-in-law Clamens Jr. and Virginia Tiemann, and Jimmy and Cheryl Tiemann; daughter and son-in-law Darlene and David Wieghat, all of Brenham; grandchildren: Jennifer and Ryan Beaudet, Ashley Wieghat, Catherine and Eric Sommerfield, Amy and Welf Jentsch, Jessica and Jason Bram, Jared and Codylyn Tiemann; great-grandchildren: Colleen Beaudet, Holly Sommerfield, Lane Hart, Jake Bram, Brady Bram, and Cooper Bram, as well as his caregivers, Modesta Rodriguez, Glenda Sander, and Tonua Phillips. He was preceded in death by his parents; granddaughter, Madeliene Tiemann, sister and brother-in-law Esther and Arthur Allen, and Adeline and Lee Koehler. Serving as pallbearers are Eric Sommerfield, Ryan Beaudet, Jared Tiemann, Jason Bram, Welf Jentsch, Gene Maloy Charles Allen, and Larry Koehler. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church of Salem. Funeral arrangements for Clamens Tiemann, Sr. are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
