Clara Jozwiak Dorcz, 82, of Brenham died Jan. 10, 2007, in Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center in Brenham. Mrs. Dorcz was born June 17, 1924, in Chappell Hill, to Joseph and Frances Nowak Jozwiak. She was baptized and confirmed in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill and attended Wonder Hill School. On Sept. 24, 1946, she was married to Tony Dorcz in St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Chappell Hill. Mrs. Dorcz was a retired bookstore clerk at Blinn College. She was a member of St. Mary s Catholic Church of Brenham and Polish National Alliance Polonia Lodge. Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Phyllis Dorcz of Tallahassee, Florida and Jerry and Betty Dorcz of Tomball; a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Richard Kaucher of Houston; a grandson, Jason Kaucher; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Blanche and Charlie Kolajajak of Chappell Hill and Esther Skweres of Brenham; and a sister-in-law, Janie Januhowski of Houston. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony Dorcz; a brother; and a sister. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 13 at St. Mary s Catholic Church of Brenham with Father Alberto Borruel, celebrant. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery in Chappell Hill. Pallbearers will be Joseph Pomilla, Billy Joe Skweres, Leonard Tomczak, Frank Petrosky, Andrew Januhowski Jr., Marion Tomczak, Jason Kaucher and David McFarland. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Petrosky, Charles Tomczak, Max Joswiak and Michael Dorcz. Clara s family wishes to thank the staff of Gazebo Terrace Convalescent Center for the care they provided her in recent years. A special heartfelt thanks to Helena Wronska for her devoted care that enabled Clara to enjoy many years in her own home and to Jeanie Rodriguez for meeting her spiritual needs. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to St. Mary s Catholic Church of Brenham or the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
