Clarence Eben of Brenham, Texas, age 78, passed away on January 25, 2021 at Baylor Scott and White hospital in College Station, Texas from Covid-19 complications. He was born on July 17, 1942 at home in the Welcome community, the son of Harry and Agnes (Kaase) Eben. He was baptized and confirmed at Welcome Lutheran Church and attended that church until he married. He was an active member of Christ Lutheran Church since 1972.
He attended the Welcome School and graduated from Belleville High School in May 1961. He was employed as a business representative at Southwestern Bell in Brenham, Texas until 1982. On June 14, 1969, he married Carol Wiesepape. They were married for over 51 years and were blessed with daughters Catherine and Cynthia. He loved his family and was proud of them. He enjoyed doing things with them and for them, from attending countless dance or piano recitals, band and choir concerts to helping with museum exhibits and all those “need your help dad” things that generate funny stories and great memories.
He liked to travel – AAL conferences, big trips, little trips, or golf weekends with friends. Spending time in the country, gardening, golfing, card group gatherings to play pitch and share a meal, listening to polka music, and enjoying meals out were some of his favorite activities with friends and family. He greatly enjoyed many afternoons hanging out with neighbors just sharing stories
