Clarence Mills

Clarence Edward "Buck" Mills, 71, of Brenham, died June 21, 2009, at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. Mills was born February 27, 1938, in Macomb, Oklahoma, to Clarice and Rose Spray Mills. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. On December 4, 1976, he was married to Janet Heidemann in Brenham. Mr. Mills was a retired cement finisher. Survivors include his wife, Janet Mills of Brenham; sons, Gary Mills of Brenham, Duane Mills of Arkansas, Alan Mills and Donald Mills, both of Oklahoma, and Doug Herms and wife Nancy of Brenham; daughters, Tammy Lyons and husband Mark of Houston, Lisa Mills and Angie Mills, both of Oklahoma; sister, Mary Alice Burks and husband Jesse of Yukon, Oklahoma; and 20 grandchildren. Mr. Mills was preceded by his parents and one daughter, Jackie Mills. The family will receive visitors from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 24 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Rick Newby officiating. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 26 at Tribbey Cemetery in Tribbey, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
