Clarence Ray Moehlmann, 87, passed away Friday, March 25, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born May 2, 1934 to August and Emma (Koehne) Moehlmann in Brenham.

Clarence married Shirley Ann Riley on July 30, 1955 at St. John Lutheran Church in Houston.

Clarence and Shirley had two children, daughter, Becky Lynn and son, Dennis.

He is survived by his son, Dennis; grandchildren, Josh (Krystal); Craig (Tiana); Kory; and Riley; great grandchildren, Kallen, Marley and Corsen Ray; daughter-in-law, Brandy and “adopted” daughter, Jennifer Welsh. He is also survived by his brother Jones (Lois) Moehlmann; sisters-in-law, Sandra Riley and Shirley Jean Moehlmann; and brothers-in-law Jeff (Karen) Riley and Donald Riley. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews and numerous other relatives.

Clarence was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley; daughter, Becky Lynn; his parents; sister, Emma Jean Roese; brother, Leroy Moehlmann; and many other relatives.

Visitation will be Thursday, March 31 from 5pm-7pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Funeral services will be Friday, April 1 at 11 am at St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill with Pastor George Rahn officiating with interment to follow. Pallbearers will be Robbie Moehlmann, Jeff Riley, Jeren Riley, Robert Fairlie, Fred Westerfeld and Doug Zweiner. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

The family would also like to thank Cassandra Roberts Johnson for her years of care to both Clarence and Shirley.

Memorials may be made to St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill or the Rocky Hill Prairie Hill Volunteer Fire Department.

Funeral arrangements are under the care of Memorial Oaks Chapel.
