Clarence Young

Clarence Otto Young, 83, of Brenham, died Oct. 22, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. Young was born Aug. 2, 1921, in Austin County, Texas, to Jacob J. and Aster E. Siegert Young. He was educated in Ives Creek Schools in Austin County and served in the United States Army during World War II. Mr. Young owned Peoples Dry Cleaners and he later worked for Prairie Lea Cemetery. Survivors include his sisters and brother-in-law, Marcel A. and Leslie Gau of Houston and Mercedes M. Jamison of Kingwood; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Lorene Huebner Young; his second wife, Margaret Kenjura Young; and brother-in-law, Doyle Jamison. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24 in Star Hill Cemetery in Austin County with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. The family will receive visitors at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 23. Memorials may be given to Trinity Medical Center. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham, 979-836-4564.
