Clem Baranowski

Clem Baranowski, 58, of Brenham, died February 9, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2014 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church of Brenham. Fr. Ed Kucera will officiate, with burial to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives from 5 until 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Clem was born October 22, 1955 in Brenham to Max Sr. and Martha Bolcerek Baranowski. He was baptized and confirmed at St. Mary''s Catholic Church. He was a ranch manager for Sandy Creek Farms for over 40 years, and also managed several other ranches in the area. A member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, Clem was a past chairman of the Washington Co. Fair Commercial Heifer Committee, and current chairman of the Washington Co. Fairgrounds Management Group. Clem never met a stranger, and was loved by all. He loved to cook, and hunting was also a favorite hobby. Survivors include a brother, Max Baranowski, Jr. and special friend Jeanette Hancock of Round Top; sister Dorothy Antkowiak and special friend Dale Green of Brenham; sisters and brothers-in-law Patricia and Keith Kuhlmann and Marie and Don Prenzler, all of Brenham; nieces and nephews: Amy and Sara Baranowski, Chelsea Kuhlmann, Ryan Antkowiak, Matthew and Nicholas Prenzler, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Also surviving are special friends Cory Billeaud and Troy and Gayla Lambert. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters-in-law: Eurline Baranowski, and Barbara Baranowski, and a number of aunts and uncles. Serving as pallbearers are Ryan Antkowiak, Matthew Prenzler, Nicholas Prenzler, Ricky Bosse, Troy Lambert, Gary Gaskamp, Craig Bolcerek, and Cole Dismukes. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary''s Catholic Church or Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arrangements for Clem Baranowski are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
