Clinton Otto Broecker, 76, of Brenham, husband of Ruth Lampe Broecker, died February 6, 2015 at Brenham Nursing and Rehab. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Monday, February 9, 2015 at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem, with Pastor Charles Parnell officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Sunday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Clinton Broecker was born Sept. 24, 1938 in New Wehdem to Arnold and Evelyn Rathke Broecker. He was baptized Nov. 20, 1938 at Salem Lutheran Church of Salem, and confirmed there March 29, 1953. He remained a member there until his death. He was married to Ruth Lampe on November 25, 1961 at Immanuel Lutheran Church of Wiedeville. Clinton served his country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Salem Shooting Club and didn''t like to miss those Sunday afternoons spending time at Sommerfeld''s camphouse. Gardening along with feeding and raising doves were something he really enjoyed as his hobbies. Also, he made an effort to stop by Robert''s Service Station almost everyday to have time visiting with his friends when he got off work in the evenings. He was retired but was previously employed by Thielemann Construction where he worked for over 30 plus years. He was a hard worker and loved being outside. In his younger days, he worked for his uncle Boots Broecker, also construction. Survivors include his wife, Ruth Broecker; daughter Rebecca Lynne Broecker and fiancé Bobby Zabala of Hutto; niece Ginger Dannhaus and husband Kyle; nephew John Kemper; great-niece Shelby Kemper; great-nephews Jason Dannhaus, Cody Kemper, and Blake Dannhaus and wife Leanne. He was preceded in death by his parents. Serving as pallbearers are Alan Runge, Jason Dannhaus, Blake Dannhaus, Otto Kemper, Roy Hegefeld, John Kemper, and Kyle Dannhaus. Memorials may be directed to Salem Lutheran Church of Salem, and Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arranagements for Clinton Broecker are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
