Connie Lynn Hugo, age 62, of Brenham, passed away Friday, March 23, 2018 at Brenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Connie was born on November 26, 1955, in DeRidder, Louisiana, to parents, Kermit R. and Ruth (Richter) Hugo. She was baptized in the DeRidder Hospital on November 27, 1955 and confirmed at Grace Lutheran Church of Houston, Texas
Despite her many health trials, Connie was always caring and praying for others. She loved her pets and her friends, as well as her Lord.
Connie graduated high school from the Texas State School for the Blind (now Texas School for the Blind and Visually Impaired). After graduation, she received an Associate of Arts degree from Blinn College and then transferred to Stephen F. Austin State University in Nacogdoches, Texas where she received a Bachelor’s degree in Education for Teaching the Visually Impaired.
Survivors include her brother, John David Hugo, of Bryan, nephew, Randy Hugo, of Bryan, two aunts, Alietha Mae Richter, of Brenham, (also her Godmother), Sharon Richter, of Houston, cousins, Vicki Sue Wehmeyer, Tiffany Vann, Sharon Klinger, Cindy Hold, all of Brenham and Debbie Enriquez, Yvonne Duran, Wade Neumann, Jason Richter, all of Houston.
She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Champion Fellowship Church, 304 East Lubbock St., Brenham, with Pastor Allen McClure presiding.
The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the members of Champion Fellowship Church for their love and support of Connie.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to Champion Fellowship Church or a charity of their choice.
