Connie Shields

Connie Rhea Lawler Shields, 70, passed away April 9, 2009 after a long illness. She had worked as a secretary and bookkeeper, and was a charter member as well as a volunteer at the Texas State Aquarium. Survivors include her three sisters, Alphann L. Stephens & husband Gene of Pleasanton, Texas, Tomme Gail L. Gold and husband Gerald of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Dee Sue L. Shupak & huusband Edwin of Brenham, Texas; nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A visitation will be held from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 14, 2009 with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m., the same evening at Cage-Mills Funeral Directors, 4901 Everhart Road. A second visitation will be held in Brenham, Texas on Saturday, April 18, 2009 at Memorial Oaks Funeral Chapel – 1306 Main St. from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. with a memorial service at 6:00 p.m. the same evening. In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Texas State Aquarium or your favorite charity.
