Corinne Rudloff

Corinne Rudloff passed away October 21, 2014 in Brenham. Corinne was born in Shelby on May 17, 1927, to Lee and Leila Vogelsang Hartmann. She attended Shelby School and then graduated from Fayetteville High School. On May 22, 1949 she married Kermit Rudloff in Zion Lutheran Church in Houston. In August 1949 she was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church. Corinne was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Shelby, member of the American Legion Post 602 Auxiliary, Sons of Hermann, Harmonie Hall, Shelby Volunteer Fire Department, and she always enjoyed meeting with the German Singers Group. Corinne loved having her family all together for lunches and was always wanting to get them all over to her house. She loved her grandkids and great-grand kids. She was always singing with the little ones and she always started them off with "Let''s Have a Party". Corinne was the "Voice" at Rudloff Brick for over 30 years, and so many customers since she was no longer at work have asked where she was. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Bonnie Rudloff of Shelby; grandchildren Rachel and Brian Kubala, Beldon and Jennifer Rudloff, and Cliff and Marissa Rudloff. Great-grandchildren Reid, Bradon, and Jake Kubala; Rylee and Colton Rudloff; and Dawson and Hailey Rudloff; sister-in-law Pearl Torrence; and numerous nieces and nephews, and her numerous good friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister, sister-in-laws, and brother-in-laws. The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm Friday Oct. 24 in St Paul Lutheran Church in Shelby, with Pastor Art Weiss officiating. Interment will follow in the Shelby Cemetery. Visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 to 8:00pm Thursday, October 23. Pallbearers will be Juan Castillo, Jose Castillo, Warren Meischen, Don Steinbach, Dale Rudloff, Stephen Rabb, Roy Schulze, and Roger Schulze. Memorials may be given to the charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham.
