Cynthia Ann Martinez Doria (Mema)
Cynthia Ann Martinez Doria of Brenham, Texas passed away on August 6, 2024 at the age of 60.
Cynthia was born on January 23, 1964 in Bryan, Texas. After school she dedicated her life to taking care of the elderly. Then she became a full time mema.
Special interests to her were watching birds, cooking (especially her homemade flour tortillas), going shopping and dancing. She loved her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren and also her dogs JoJo and Bella.
She was preceded in death by her parents, father, Joseph Martinez and mother, Nora Heyneman Martinez; sister, Rosa Guerra; grandparents, Irma Guerra and Dario Martinez and grandchildren, Octavia McDonald and Myla McDonald.
Survivors include her husband, Pedro Doria; daughters and Sons-in-law, Lisa and Nick Rios, Lina Alvarado Basey, and Lenora and Luis Valadez; sister and brother-in-law, Bertha B. Martinez Lara and Leandro Lara; grandchildren, Chelsey Guzman, Isaac Rios, Chloe Valadez, Martha Valadez, Anthony Rios, Jacob Schubert, Luis Aron Valadez, Mikayla Hernandez, Xavier Rios, Mayra Valadez, Paul McDonald, Jr., Monica Valadez and Jordan McDonald. Also surviving are great-grandchildren, Hayden Mathis, Adrian Mathis and Levi Rios; niece and nephew, Irma Marin and Pablo D. Marin and aunt, Linda Martinez.
Visitation for Cynthia will be on Sunday, August 11, 2024, from 7:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, Texas with the family present from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m., with Rosary at 6:00 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday, August 12, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Brenham, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Luis Valadez, Luis Aron Valadez, Nick Rios, Isaac Rios, Anthony Rios, Xavier Rios, Gabriel Mathis and Jacob Schubert.
Floral contributions in Cynthia's memory are desired or memorial contributions can be made to the charity of your choice.
