Cynthia Wilson

December 13, 1954 — February 23, 2025

Cynthia Charlene Preuss Wilson, 70, of Brenham went to her heavenly home on February 23, 2025 in Brenham Texas. Cynthia was born in Houston, Texas on December 13, 1954 to Albin and Esther Preuss. She was Baptized and Confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church of Houston, Texas. She graduated from Reagan High School in 1973 and by a stroke of good luck met her soulmate, George K. Wilson III when he walked into her father's mechanic shop. George and Cindy got married on April 6, 1974 and were blessed with two children, George IV and Karen.

From an early age, Cindy had a passion for crafts and baking. She crocheted many beautiful afghans over the years with many being gifted to friends and relatives. She loved baking and decorating cakes for her loved one's birthdays, anniversaries, and pretty much any occasion. Cindy was a huge fan of Elvis Presley music and movies and collected memorabilia of his as well. On weekends you could find George and Cindy watching their favorite old movies together with most starring Shirley Temple (Cindy's favorite) or John Wayne (George's favorite). George and Cindy also loved to go gambling together and took many trips to different gambling cities. Before her retirement, Cindy worked at JC Penney's where she made life long, dear friends.

Cindy, as she was affectionately known, was a shining light to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. Cindy was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend.

Cindy is survived by her children, George and Meagan of Chappell Hill and Karen Wilson of Brenham; her grandchildren Zachary Wilson, Kameron Ray, Allye Ray, Kindred Wilson, and Charlene Wilson; her brother, Marty and Melissa Preuss of Houston and sisters, Brenda Preuss of Houston and Diane and Doug Walley of Richmond, Virginia, and sister in law Linda Wilson of Brenham. There are numerous other relatives and friends that are left to carry her spirit in their hearts.

Cindy was preceded in death by her husband, George K. Wilson lll, her parents, Albin and Esther Preuss, in-laws, Herbert and Mary Alice Wilson, brother, John Davis and brother-in-law, Lucky Wilson.
