Daisy Buchanan

Daisy Dean Buchanan, 95, of Brenham, passed away November 11, 2010 in Kruse Memorial Village. Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, November 15, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Brenham Church of Christ, 2800 Victory Lane, Brenham. Dr. Doug Hall will officiate. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Daisy was born May 20, 1915 in Dardanelle, Arkansas to Herbert Jackson and Rilla Whiteford Dean. She was educated in Ola, Arkansas schools. A member of the Church of Christ of Brenham, she was a retired public employee of California, and more recently, a dispatcher in the police department. Survivors include a sister Elise Smith of Carslbad, New Mexico. Preceding her in death was a sister, Mary Bullard, and nephew, Bob Bullard. Serving as pallbearers are Jim Bruce, Tom Burrus, Richard Fletcher, Troy Gleeves, Jim Grant and Perry Pace. Jeri Baehren, Vicki Bruce, Treva Bullard, Benawaine Burrus, Beal Crane, Ruth Necker, and Madeline Skinner, will serve as honorary pallbearers. Memorials may be directed to the Church of Christ or Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham. 979836-4564.
