Daniel Walter Dallmeyer, 48, of Brenham, lost his battle with pancreatic cancer on November 5, 2009, with family members. He was born July 21, 1961 in Brenham, Texas to Herman and Hattie Hermann Dallmeyer. He was baptized in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn, and was later confirmed there. A 1977 graduate of Burton High School, he was the co-owner of the Chicken Shack Restaurant for a number of years. Daniel was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn. Dan will be remembered for his great smile, spirited disposition, and his ability to unite those around him. Survivors include his loving family: mother, Hattie Dallmeyer; brothers Alfred Dallmeyer of Marlin, David Dallmeyer of Brenham, Troy Dale and Laurie Dallmeyer of Pennsylvania; sisters Esther Rosenbaum, Hattie and Donald Lampe, both of Brenham, Martha and Billy Stowe of North Zulch, uncles John Hermann and Erwin Ganske; aunt Annie Malkey; nephews and nieces Allen and Melanie Rosenbaum, Kevin Lampe, Amy and Carlos Hernandez, Brandy Interiano, Jaime Rosenbaum, Michael Dallmeyer, Jaclyn Stowe, Jessica Lampe, Billye Jo Stowe; great-nieces and nephews Daysja Rosenbaum, Destiny Interiano, Devyn Hood, Addison Rosenbaum, Isabel Rosenbaum, Connor Hernandez; step-nieces and nephew June Maloney, Francis Hensley, and Shelly Gonzales. Also surviving are numerous cousins and special friends. He was preceded in death by his father, a brother, Jimmie Lee and a sister, Diana Dallmeyer, who died in infancy. Funeral services for Daniel Walter Dallmeyer will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church of William Penn with Pastor Jeffrey King officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Close friends of Dan will serve as pallbearers. Visitation with family and friends will take place Monday evening from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials may be directed to Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to Hospice Brazos Valley. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
