Daniel Martinez

Daniel Martinez, 80, died November 15, 2018 in Brenham.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, November 19, 2018 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main in Brenham. Pastor Marty Mosher will officiate. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Daniel Martinez was born December 7, 1937 in McFadden, Texas to Leon Sr. and Ramona (Mata) Martinez. He married Vicenta Guerra in Victoria, Texas on August 30, 1957. Daniel was retired, having worked for many years in the roofing business.

Survivors include his wife, Vicenta Martinez of Brenham; sons Eddie Martinez and wife Debbie; Daniel Martinez, Jr. and Tammy S. Campbell, all of Brenham; daughters Theresa Naraghi and husband Abie of Grandville, MI; Irma Selman, and Cindy A. Garza and husband Ruben, all of Brenham; brothers and sisters-in-law Jesse and Elida Martinez of Sonora; Richard and Mary Martinez and Lupe and Elvira Martinez, all of Bryan, and Robert Martinez of Kenney; sister and brother-in-law Julia and Feliz Martinez of Victoria; grandchildren: Michael and Sara, Navid Naraghi, Brent E., Cory D. Martinez; Kevin Trevino, Hayley Selman, Nathan Selman, Brandi Huff, Amanda Garza, Brianna Renee Hupe, Eric and Callen Martinez, Makenna, Payton, Emily; great-grandchildren: Gavin Naraghi, Destiny Nau, Raquel, Rocke, and Raina Esquevil, Ariana Guzman, and Marissa Manzanero.

Mr. Martinez was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

His nine grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
