Daniel Niemeyer

Daniel J. Niemeyer, 60, of Brenham, died Sept. 28, 2014 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham, Texas. A memorial service will be held Oct. 12 at 2:30 p.m. at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill with Rev. Kris Brower officiating. Daniel was born Aug. 22, 1954 in Brenham to Gustav and Alvina Brinkmeyer Niemeyer. He was baptized Oct. 10, 1954 at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill, where he was also confirmed June 2, 1968. Until his health kept him from working, he worked at Brenham National Bank, Perry Bros. and Sears Roebuck & Co. His last job was in the medical field in the surgery department of Providence Medical Center at Everett, Washington. Survivors include his son, Christopher Niemeyer and wife of Colorado; daughter, Jennifer Triggs and husband of Colorado; brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Dinah Niemeyer of Brenham; sisters and brothers-in-law, Corene Niemeyer and Shirley and Edward Neumann, all of Brenham; four grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Gus William Niemeyer; and great-niece, Karlee Carr. Memorials may be directed to St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill.
