Daniel R. Tucker, 63, of Industry, died July 11, 2011 in St. Joseph Regional Health Center in Bryan. The family will receive visitors Thursday, July 14 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. in Memorial Oaks Chapel with Father Ed Kucera Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Richter Cemetery near Round Top. Mr. Tucker was born September 11, 1947 in Houston, Texas, to A.A. and Hermenia Barta Tucker. He was a graduate of Spring Branch High School and attended Blinn College. When he was in high school, he was a roper and trained horses with his father. Mr. Tucker served his country in the Air Force. On October 9, 2002, he was married to Janice Wagner. Mr. Tucker was a service superintendent for Mustang Tractor for 38 years. He loved socializing with friends and relatives and was a sportsman who enjoyed Nascar racing, hunting, rodeos and collecting guns. Mr. Tucker was involved with the Washington County Fair as a committeeman for wild steer saddling. He was a member of the Industry Water District, Latium Fire Department and a shooting club. For a number of years he raised Beefmaster cattle. Survivors include his wife, Janice Tucker of the Welcome community; mother, Hermenia Tucker of Brenham; son, Keith Tucker of Iola; daughters and son-in-law, Michelle and Tommy Hamilton of Plantersville, Megan Wittner of Brenham and Kyle Wittner of Welcome; grandchildren, Kolt Tucker, Laci and Landon Hamilton; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Cathy Tucker of Georgetown; and nephew, Casey Tucker. He was preceded in death by his father. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Keilers, Edward Pampell, John Toney, Kolt Tucker, Chris Igansiak and Lyngle Cardwell.
