Darlene Gaskamp

Darlene Kay Gaskamp, 65, died April 8,2019 in Brenham.

The funeral service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, April 11, 2019 at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Katrina Walther officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Darlene Kay Gaskamp was born December 22, 1953 in Brenham to Berry August and Doris Virginia Lanford Gaskamp. She was baptized January 24, 1954 and confirmed April 7, 1969. Darlene was a 1972 graduate of Brenham High School.

A member of Zion Lutheran Church, she was also a member of the Bluebonnet Club. Darlene was an avid collector of stuffed animals, and also loved spending time with her pet dogs.

She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Debbie Gaskamp, and nieces and nephews Leticia Gaskamp, Brent and Carissa Gaskamp, all of Brenham. Darlene’s parents and grandparents preceded her in death.

Serving as pallbearers are Brent Gaskamp, Mark Hahn, Justin Schroeder, Bill Keienburg, Glenn Flentge, and Edward Schulte.

Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church. The family would like to extend special thanks to the Brenham Nursing and Rehab staff, where Darlene assisted with Volunteer Services.
