Darrell Wade Bayer, 45, of Brenham, died Wednesday, November 14, 2007 at his residence. Mr. Bayer was born in Houston on April 8, 1962 to Virgil and Joyce Hackemack Bayer. He was baptized in Bethlehem Lutheran Church of Round Top, and confirmed in Zion Lutheran Church of Houston. Mr. Bayer was a 1980 graduate of Waltrip High School in Houston, and was employed as a machinist for MIC in Brenham. Survivors include his daughter, Londan Bayer of Round Top; parents, Virgil and Joyce Bayer of Houston; brother, Scott Bayer of Houston, and a sister and brother-in-law, Terry and Paul Gilbert of Houston; two nephews, Matthew and Jason Gilbert, and a great-nephew, Andrew Gilbert. He is also survived by his beloved friend and the mother of Londan, Cherie Denham of Round Top. Darrell was a very caring and supportive to the people he loved. He loved his daughter, and he lovingly referred to her as Tater . He loved to fish, and was a very hard-working person. Those who wish to memorialize him may make a donation to a favorite charity. Funeral services for Darrell Wade Bayer will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2007 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Lawrence Bade officiating. Burial will follow in Nassau Cemetery near Round Top. Visitation with family and friends will take place Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are Matthew Gilbert, Jason Gilbert, Ron Denham, Ross Denham, Mike Farrar, David Farrar, Greg Broussard, and Jim Henneke. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
