Deborah Northrup

Deborah Jean (Mayfield) Northrup, 59, the wife of Preston Northrup, died on March 4, 2018 at Hospice Brazos Valley Inpatient of Bryan. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 7, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with Pastor Marty Mosher officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Park Lawndale in Houston. Visitation with family and friends will be on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Deborah was born on February 10, 1959 to Arthur Ervin and Rebecca Inez (Whitson) Mayfield in Freeport, TX. She was married to Preston Northrup III on December 13, 1980. Deborah was a member of Cowboy Church of Brenham, Salt Grass Trail Ride, and Relay for Life committee for 3 years.

Survivors include her husband Preston Northrup III of Brenham, son and daughter-in-law Preston IV“Buddy” and Samantha Northrup of Brenham; brother and sister-in-law Arthur and Kelly Mayfield of Sweeny TX; sisters and brothers-in-law Carolyn Shanks of Angleton TX., Annette Brown of Sugarland TX., and Paula and Ed Hoeppner of Boerne TX; sisters-in-law Brenda Mayfield and Pat Christie; and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and brother Kenneth Mayfield.

Serving as pallbearers are Matt Menchaca, Colton Maass, Shelby Hadash, Brian Woodward, Brett Schroeder and Chad Dismukes. Honorary pallbearers are Poncho Dismukes, James Schroeder, Steve Durbin and Brenham P.D.
