Debra Budnik

Debra Snow Budnik, 43, entered into eternal rest on April 6, 2003. Cancer could not conquer her indomitable spirit. She possessed incredible strength, a strong will and great love for her family and friends. She was born June 14, 1959, in Houston, Texas, preceded in death by her father, Arthur Kirschke and is survived by her loving family, husband, Larry; children, Brittany and Shelby; brothers, Mark and Craig Kirschke; mother and step father, Joyce and Carl Bridges; numerous other relatives and a host of very close friends. She was a wonderful daughter, loving wife, super mom, extraordinary friend and giving person. She was touched by the lives of many friends from a young age, many of whom ministered to her to the end. She was educated through Houston schools and graduated from Scarborough High School in 1980. The family moved from Houston to Brenham in 1997 and she soon developed many relationships with new and close friends through community activities and employment with Blue Bell Creameries. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 9 at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, 1104 Carlee Drive, Brenham, TX 77833. Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 8, 2003 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1106 W. Main, Brenham, TX, 979-836-4564. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund for the Christ Lutheran Church Day School. Debra s wish was to help children so this will be a special memorial to her. An alternative is The American Cancer Society, P. O. Box 2266, Brenham, TX 77834, dedicated to education, patient services, advocacy and research. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
