Delores Franke

Delores Clara (Boeker) Franke, 85, of Caldwell, was embraced in the arms of her heavenly Father on Nov. 5, 2019.

The funeral service for Delores Franke will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham with Pastor Matthew Jacobs and Pastor William Holzer officiating. Burial will be in Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Visitation will be held from 9:30-11:00 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 8, prior to the funeral, at Grace Lutheran Church.

Delores was born Oct. 21, 1934, in Brenham, to Albert and Sophie (Kammerer) Boeker. She was baptized Dec. 23, 1934, confirmed Oct. 3, 1948 and married to William Paul Franke on Sept. 15, 1957, all at Friedens Evangelical and Reformed Church in Gay Hill.

She was an awesome, loving and caring mother to her children. Her smile and kind expressions made her a friend to many throughout her life. She graduated from Southwestern College of Houston and began her career with Acacia Mutual Life Insurance in 1953. She remained an employee for 40-plus years until her retirement. Delores was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, where she was active in the LWML Circle.

She leaves to mourn her beloved children: son, Tom Franke and wife Diana, and daughter, Sherry Coats and Tim Aaser; grandchildren, Jason and Joshua Franke, Erica Chmelar and husband T.J.; great-grandchildren, Cameron Banks and Gavin and Everly Chmelar; sister-in-law, Juanita Boeker and many nephews, nieces and friends.

Preceding her in death are her beloved husband, William Franke; parents, Albert and Sophie Boeker; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Harry and Betty Boeker, Newton and Selma Boeker, Albert Walter and Willie Mae Boeker, Lorene and Arthur Rust, Gladyola and James Dowell and Harding Boeker.

Pallbearers will be Larry Hintz, Maurice Graeber, Travis Boeker, David Dahmann, Ronnie Holle and Paul Schulze.

Memorial contributions may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church of Brenham.
