Deloris Burnham

Deloris I. Kiecke Burnham, 89, of Plano, TX, the widow of Herbert Burnham, died Tuesday, April 10, 2007 in a Plano nursing home. Deloris was born March 10, 1918, in Brenham, Texas to Louis and Annie Boeker Kiecke. She attended Brenham schools. On September 26, 1936, she was married to Herbert Burnham in Brenham. She was employed by Brenham Wholesale Grocery during WW II and worked many years in Suter s Gift Shop. She was a member of St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church of Brenham, where she was Cradle Roll mother and Sunday school teacher. Deloris learned and enjoyed architecture to the point of designing her own home. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend who continually found good in all people. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Herb & Erin Burnham of Anderson, S.C.; sister-in-law, Lottie Kiecke of Lake Jackson, TX; grandchildren, Michael Burnham, Cindi Schoenfeld , and Scott Burnham; great-grandchildren, Ashley, Mathew and Kyle Schoenfeld, Lauren, Riley and Emerson Burnham; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; and special friend, Loraine Teufel. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister, Bernice Kaechler; and two brothers, Louis Kiecke Jr. and Edgar Jack Kiecke. The Burnham family will receive visitors from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 13 at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Memorials maybe given to St. Paul s Evangelical Lutheran Church General Fund or to the charity of your choice. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, April 14 at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Pastor Lawrence Bade officiating. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main St., Brenham.
