Deloris Eckermann

Deloris L. Eckermann, 70, of the Shelby community in Austin County, Texas died near Camp Wood, Texas on Sunday, November 12, 2006. The daughter of Emmit & Leona Koehler Schultz, Deloris was born on July 28, 1936 in Austin, County, Texas. She and Lee Fred Eckermann were married in the Industry Methodist Church on July 31, 1955. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2005. Mrs. Eckermann was the vice-president of Gay Pontiac in Dickinson for many years. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law: Darrell & Joyce Eckermann of Santa Fe, Texas; her granddaughters: Shana Eckermann and Autumn Gigout; her great grandchildren: Raven, Alisa, Keanu and Kyla. Other members of the family include her mother-in-law, Lorene Eckermann; brothers and sisters-in-law: Emmit & Faye Schultz and Jerry & Dynell Schultz; her sisters and brothers-in-law: Evelyn & Gary Bertling and Annell & Bobby Meyer. She is also survived by a sister-in-law, Joyce Bridges and by her brothers-in-law: Allen Eckermann, Arlie Eckermann, Alfred Eckermann, Lawrence Eckermann and Daniel Eckermann. Burial will take place on Thursday, November 16, 2006 in the cemetery of Industry United Methodist Church at 11 o clock in the morning with Rev. Abel officiating the service. Deloris left very specific instructions concerning her funeral arrangements, all of which have been followed.
