Dennis Wayne Rosenbaum, 67, passed into the arms of his Lord, Jesus Christ, on Friday, August 26, 2016.
Dennis was born in Brenham on July 20, 1949 to Alton William and Lillian (Dallmeyer) Rosenbaum. He was baptized into the Lutheran faith at birth, and was confirmed March 22, 1964.
The family moved to Zionsville, and lived there until 1956. The family then moved to Burton, where Dennis went to school a couple of years before moving to Houston. Here, he attended school from 7th grade through high school, and then joined the work world.
He was a truck driver for Newsgroup for 42 years before retiring in 2008. While there, he met his wife, Beverly Vincent, who survives. They built a house in Brenham in 1993, and finally moved into it full-time after retirement.
Beverly and Dennis loved to eat out together, travel to see family, attend Astros games, and go crabbing on the coast. Dennis loved hunting, fishing, and nurturing his faith in God. Most recently, Dennis was attending Confirmation classes with his granddaughter Elizabeth, just because he wanted to learn more about the Bible. Dennis and Beverly have been raising two of their grandchildren.
Dennis' most sincere parting wish for his family was that everyone one of them would come to know their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and to attend church on a regular basis. His faith was strong even to the end, and he wanted all his family to know the peace, forgiveness and joy that comes with a strong faith in God.
Surviving are their children: Amanda Rosenbaum, Dennis J. Rosenbaum, Denise Valdez and a step-son, Cody Woodrome. They have 10 grandchildren: Michael, Elizabeth, Isaac, Adrian, Louis, Brittani, Wesley, Maddie, Brady, and Tripp.
A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church of Sandy Hill, with Pastor Kris Brower officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. The family will be receiving friends and relatives from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2016.
