Diane M. Hoffman (Ustynik) passed from this life on December 13, 2015, in Bryan.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19 at Memorial Oaks Chapel, followed by the memorial service at 11:00 a.m. also at Memorial Oaks Chapel.
She was born on November 23, 1943, in El Campo, Texas, to Arnold and Alma Ustynik, as the youngest of three children. She graduated from El Campo High School in 1962. She attended Wharton Junior College before transferring to Sam Houston State University and graduating with a B.B.A. in 1967. Diane married Donald J. Hoffman of Glidden, Texas, on February 18, 1967. After briefly residing in Houston, they moved to Brenham, Texas, in 1968. In 1969 they bought Brenham Office Supply where Diane worked as co-owner until the selling of the business in 1995.
Diane was active in the Pilot Club International, the Dorcas Circle at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Phillipsburg, and the Brenham Fire Department Auxiliary.
She leaves behind her husband, Don, her son Hoyt Hoffman and daughter-in-law, Jennifer, her daughter Donnis Atkins, and son-in-law Kirk, grandson, Caleb Atkins, brother Dalton (Bobby) Ustynik, sister Jarvis Tuggle, and brother-in-law Jene, numerous nieces and nephews, other extended family members, and countless friends.
She will be remembered for her irreverent sense of humor, her creativity, her love of birds, and her extraordinary thoughtfulness to all around her. She always knew how to find her joy, and she will be sorely missed.
Memorials can be made to the Washington County Healthy Living Association and to Brazos Valley Hospice.
