Dolly Armatys

Funeral services for Dolly Ruth Mitchell Armatys are scheduled for 10 a.m., Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. Pastor Denise Seymour will officiate. Mrs. Armatys passed away January 11, 2015 at Christus Dubuis Hospital in Bryan. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 Tuesday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Interment will take place Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Oakland Cemetery in Navasota. Dolly Armatys was born October 28 in Grimes Co. to Edd Lacy Sr. and Mattie Lee Parker Mitchell. She was confirmed May 31, 1981 at St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. After completing her education, she was married to Steve Armatys on May 25, 1946. She took care of her family as a homemaker, as well as operating a restaurant in the Burton and Carmine area. Memberships included the Burton Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary, Washington Co. Cowbells, and the Burton Lioness Club. She was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. Survivors include son-in-law Bobby Kloecker and wife Vicky of Burton; grandchildren: Michele Ebner and husband Reagie of Ledbetter; Shane Kloecker of Burton; step-grandchild Charlsa and Mark Goodman of Caldwell; great-grandchildren: Louis Symons of Ledbetter, and step great-grandchildren Jack and Sophie Goodman of Caldwell; sisters-in-law Viola Mitchell of Cleveland, Texas, Betty Joe Armatys, Leona Pasket, Betty Sue Ketchum, and Angelina Petersen and husband Wallace. She was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Armatys; daughter Stevelyn Kloecker; brother Edd Mitchell, Jr.; her parents, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Serving as pallbearers are Carrie Bozarth, Nina Runge, Wanda Kramer, Karla Nienstedt, Sheila Spivey, Debbie Eckert, Patti Schultz, Sue Johnston, Robin Boehnemann, and Jennifer Baker. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. Funeral arrangements for Dolly Armaty are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel.
