Donald Everette Eason, 77, of Brenham, died Dec. 4, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Mr. Eason was born Sept. 19, 1930, in Brenham, Texas, to Don E. and Marguerite Fischer Eason. He attended the Oklahoma Military Academy in Claremore, Oklahoma and Blinn College in Brenham. Mr. Eason served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He was married to Evelyn Cernosek. Mr. Eason was a former officer in the Houston Police Department, a former employee of the Brenham Banner-Press and was employed with the Gerald Franklin Agency. Survivors include his son, Steven Franklin Eason of Atlanta, Georgia; daughter Elise Webb and husband Ron of Smithville, Oklahoma; grandson, Ryan Webb of Smithville, Oklahoma; brother, Gerald Franklin and wife Evelyn of Houston; and special friends, Deborah Barton and Donnie and Diane Eaves. He was preceded in death by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn Eason and his son, Donald Everette Eason III. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 8 at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Memorials may be given to ESCAPE Family Resource Center, 3210 Eastside, Houston, TX 77098.
