Donald Frank Kasprowicz, 83, of Brenham, TX, died on May 9, 2021 in Brenham, TX.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, May 22, 2021 at Prairie Lea Cemetery with Pastor Pat Dietrich officiating.
Mr. Kasprowicz was born on July 13, 1937 in Brenham, TX to Billy Joseph and Margaret (Windhausen) Kasprowicz. He married his wife, Johnelle Bradley, on August 24, 1969. He graduated Sam Houston University and earned a Bachelors Degree. He worked as a band director and teacher. He also served in the Army Reserve.
Mr. Kasprowicz was a member of the Lions Club. He played the trumpet in numerous Polka Bands in the area. He was a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brenham and sang in the church choir for over fifty years.
Mr. Kasprowicz is survived by stepson, Matthew Douglas Duewall of Katy, TX; daughters-in-law, Dr. Beverly Stiles of Wichita Falls, TX and Lois Duewall of Helotes, TX; son-in-law, Rev. Dr. Dewain Smith of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Paul, Mary, Ann, Lydia, James, Stephen, Jennifer, Angela, and Maria; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Johnelle Bradley Kasprowicz; stepsons, David Mark Duewall and Dana Michael Duewall; stepdaughter, Martha Dianne Smith; father, Billy Kasprowicz; and mother, Margaret Kasprowicz.
Memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes Association.
