Donald Schwartz

Donald Charles Bender Schwartz, 79, of Brenham, passed away on Monday, March 29, 2004, at Trinity Medical Center in Brenham. Donald was born August 18, 1924, in Houston, TX, the youngest of six children of Dr. William Henry and Maude Bender Schwartz. After his service during World War II, he graduated from the University of Houston. He was a pharmaceutical salesman for Ciba-Geigy now Novartis for many years. In June of 1973, he married Mary Susan Mills in Christ Church Cathedral in Houston, TX. He is survived by his wife, Mary Susan Mills Schwartz; sons, Donald C. Schwartz II of Denver, CO and Eric K. Schwartz of Dallas; one brother, John C. Schwartz and his wife Martha of Harlingen; one sister-in-law, Marilyn Schwartz of San Francisco, CA; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, William Schwartz of Austin and Kent Schwartz of San Francisco, CA; and his sisters, Cherry Brunson of Houston and Lois Windrum of Brenham. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 3 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Peter s Episcopal Church in Brenham with the Rev. Cecelia Smith officiating. Memorials may be made in his name to St. Peter s Episcopal Church. Arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
