Donald Webb

Donald Leonard Webb, 80, of Brenham, died March 7, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Webb was born May 8, 1923, in Zigler, Illinois, to Jesse and Lillian Scoggins Webb. He received his education at Southwestern University and SMU. Mr. Webb served in the U.S. Army during World War II. On Nov. 1, 1997, he married Virginia Menk in Houston. Mr. Webb was a retired Methodist minister. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Webb of Brenham; daughters, Lisa Webb of Beaumont and Cathy Webb of Silsbee; sister and brother-in-law, Martha and Bob Warner of Corpus Christi; and two granddaughters. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and one grandson. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, March 11 in First United Methodist Church in Brenham with Dr. Wesley Wellborn and Rev. Gene Fitzwater officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
