Donna Kaltwasser

July 28, 1958 — June 9, 2019

Donna Kay Stoelke Kaltwasser passed away on June 9, 2019. She fought the good fight and now she is in the loving arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 13 at Grace Lutheran Church, with Pastors Matthew Jacobs officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, June 12 at Memorial Oaks Chapel.

Donna was born July 28, 1958 in Brenham to Delphine and Dorine Boeker Stoelke. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham, where she was baptized and confirmed.

On August 11, 1990, she married Jeff Kaltwasser at Grace Lutheran Church in Brenham. Donna was educated in Brenham Independent School District. She graduated Brenham High School in 1976. She was a member of the Brenham Cub Band during her high school years.

Donna’s favorite pastime was spending time with family. She also looked forward each year to Friday Night Lights and cheering on her beloved Brenham Cubs rain or shine. One of her fondest memories included performing at half-time with the Brenham Cub Alumni Band. She looked forward to her weekly Bible study with her girls and attending her grandkids’ extracurricular activities.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Alan Kaltwasser; son, Jason Dwayne Gaertner and wife Sara Beth of Brenham; daughter, Madison Alana Kaltwasser of Brenham; and son, Tyler McKay Kaltwasser and fiance Lucy Alayna Barbisch of Brenham; grandchildren, Braden Austin, Brycen Garrett, Blaine Parker, Brooklyn Rose and Beckham Floyd of Brenham. She is also survived by her mother, Dorine Stoelke; and brother, Jeff Stoelke; as well as numerous other family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, Delphine Stoelke; and sister, Sheryl Main.

Serving as pallbearers are Ted Fritsch, Rodney Sladek, Mike Stoelke, Ken Stoelke,

David Eckermann, Gary Eckermann, Randy Bader, and Kenneth Bader. Honorary pallbearers include her Bible study group and the employees of Dr. Bell and Dr. Bright’s office.

Memorials may be directed to Grace Lutheran Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
