Doris Beckermann

Doris Laverne Korthauer Beckermann, 81, of Brenham, died Saturday, June 2, 2007, at Trinity Medical Center, in Brenham. Mrs. Beckermann was born January 27, 1926, in Burton, Texas, to Charlie and Helen Giere Korthauer. She was baptized in the Christian faith in St. John Evangelical Church of Burton by Rev. Adolph Walton and confirmed at St.Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg on September 3, 1939, by Rev. C. A. Lehne. On November 2, 1947, she was married to Ben Beckermann in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg by Rev. A. R. Wolber. Mrs. Beckermann was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Terrence & LaVerne Korthauer of Midland, TX; nieces and nephews, Harry Korthauer, Debbie Korthauer Willis, Todd Korthauer and special friend Tim Joswiak. She was preceded in death by parents, Charlie & Helen Korthauer, husband, Ben Beckermann, children, Jimmy Dale Beckermann, Beverly Ann Beckermann and Pamela Denis Beckermann, father and mother-in-law, Ben & Lena Beckerman. The family will receive visitors from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, June 4 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, June 5 at Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine with Pastor Teresa Davis officiating. Burial will be in the Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Pallbearers will be Terry Korthauer, William Klingsporn, Kirk Hannath, Ronnie Schulte, James Daniell, Cory Supak, Mark Wellmann and Keith Kroll. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Greenvine. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, in Brenham.
