Doris Gaskamp

Doris Virginia Gaskamp, 73, of Brenham died Friday, August 13, 2004 at Bluebonnet Hills Care Center in Brenham. She was born June 5, 1931, in Brenham, the daughter of Kinch Lanford and Sophia Meeks and was a homemaker. On November 30, 1952. she married Berry Gaskamp in the Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Debra Gaskamp of Brenham; a daughter, Darlene Gaskamp of Brenham; two sisters, Dolores Dyson of Brenham and Marie Huevel of Bryan; two brothers and one sister-in-law, Harold and Martha Lanford of Brenham and Charles Lanford of San Antonio; and two grandchildren, Brent Gaskamp and Leticia Gaskamp of Brenham. She is preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and her husband, Berry Gaskamp. Visitation with the family present will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Oaks Chapel. The funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, August 15, 2004 in Zion Lutheran Church with Rev. David Hall officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Brent Gaskamp, Nick Lehmann, Mark Hahn, Richard Burleson, John Paul Cherry and Paul Crane. At the family s request, memorials may be given to Zion Lutheran Church or Southern Hospice of Brenham.
