Doris Eileen Gasper, of Chappell Hill, Texas, age 96 died April 22, 2013 at Brenham Rest Home. Eileen was born Dec. 10, 1916 to Roy and Mamie Moore in Byesville, Ohio. She attended school in Waco, Ohio. She married Alex Gasper May 30, 1937 and they made their home in Hartville, Ohio while their children were in school and later moved to Canton, Ohio where they both worked for the Plain Township School system. She was the head cook at Fraser Elementary School for 25 years. She was a hard worker that loved cooking, baking, cleaning her home, shopping, spending time with friends, and spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on May 18, 1996, brothers Herbert Moore, Myron Moore, Moore, brother and sister-in-law Hershel and Bobbie Moore, sisters and brother-in-laws Nina and Harry Miller, Roberta and Danny Albert, sisters-in-laws and brother-in-laws John and Reva Gasper, Ann and Bert Wilson, Margaret and Milton Roberts, Helen and Gabert Wilder, David Gasper, Erma Walker, and grandson Ronald Alex Gasper, Jr. Survivors include daughter and son-in-law Dolores and Kenneth Spivey, son Ronald Gasper, grandchildren Lori Howdy McCracken, Marty Shiela Spivey, Jeff Spivey, Mellonie Neil Casto, and Shawn Gasper, sister and brother-in-law Lila and Frank Kolm, sister-in-laws and brother-in-laws, Mary Lou and Johnny Ulrich, Billy and Carolyn Gasper, Raymond Walker, Mary Jane Moore and 9 great-grandchildren . In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to Hospice Brazos Valley, or the Cowboy Church of Brenham, Texas. Visitation will be Thursday, from 5-7pm at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, Texas. The funeral service will be Friday, 2 pm, at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Jack Meeker officiating. Burial will be at the Masonic Cemetery in Chappell Hill, Texas. Pallbearers are Marty Spivey, Jeff Spivey, Ty Spivey, Shawn Gasper, Melton Roberts and Gary Roberts. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Gasper, Raymond Walker, and Johnny Ulrich.
