Doris Gregory

Doris Evelyn Gregory, 79, of Brenham, died August 13, 2005, at her residence. Mrs. Gregory was born November 20, 1925, in the Gay Hill community of Washington County, Texas, to Louis and Clara Werchan Richter. She was baptized at St. Peter s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill by Pastor R.J. Weber and was confirmed in the same church. Mrs. Gregory was an aide at Brenham Rest Home. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Herbert Dietzman, in 1963; her parents; sister and brother-in-law, Lorine and Melvin Winkelmann; two brothers, Wilbert Richter and Barry Richter; and brother-in-law, Lonnie Koehn. Survivors include her sister, Viola Koehn of Brenham; sisters-in-law, Willie Mae Richter and Mildred Richter, both of Brenham; and numerous nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 17 at St. Peter s Lutheran Church in Gay Hill with Pastor Virgil Pecht officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. tonight in Memorial Oaks Chapel. Pallbearers will be Kristofer Koehn, Ryan Bender, James Richter, Dennis Richter, Gary Winkelmann and Harper Muery. Memorials may be given to St. Peter s Lutheran Church of Gay Hill. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main St., in Brenham.
