Doris Klatt

Doris Naumann Klatt, 83, widow of George Klatt, passed away December 19, 2013 at Scott and White Hospital. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, December 21, 2013 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church, with Father Ernesto Elizondo officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will from 6 until 8 p.m., with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m., Friday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Doris Klatt was born Feb. 1, 1930 in Prairie Hill to Fritz and Lydia Krause Naumann. She was baptized in St. John Lutheran Church of Prairie Hill by Pastor Gore on May 16, 1930, and confirmed at St. Matthew Lutheran of Sandy Hill by Pastor W. C. Poehlmann. Mrs. Klatt attended Sandy Hill School, and later married George Klatt on Oct. 4, 1958 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church, where she became a member. For a number of years, Doris was employed at Perry Bros. in Brenham. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Edna and Edwin Weiss of Brenham, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Her husband, George Klatt, preceded her in death on Dec. 28, 2009, as well as brothers Glen Earl Naumann, Lonnie Naumann, Fritz Naumann, Jr. and Ervin Naumann; sisters Aline Knebel and Elvera Drews, and her parents, Fritz and Lydia Naumann. Serving as pallbearers are Dathan Nowicki, Marcus Nowicki, Ricky Weiss, and Darwin Naumann. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary''s Catholic Church.
