Doris Mae Dippel Voelkel, age 83, of Shelby, Texas, died on April 4th, 2021 in Industry, Texas.
A visitation will be at Memorial Oaks Chapel, Brenham, Texas on Wednesday April 7th, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. Graveside service will be held at Shelby Cemetery, Shelby, Texas on Thursday April 8th at 10:00 a.m, with Pastor John David Nedbalek and Heidi Dixon.
She was born in Fayette County, Texas to Clinton and Norma Krause Dippel. She was baptized February 27, 1938 and confirmed March 18, 1951 by Pastor A.B. Weiss at Martin Lutheran Church, Carmine, Texas. On November 23, 1957 she married August Fred Voelkel.
Mrs. Voelkel is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Denise Voelkel of Houston, Texas, Brad and Britney Voelkel of Shelby, Texas and daughter and son-in-law Denise Jones and Randall Wiggins of Bellville, Texas former son-in-law Keith Jones of Bleiblerville, Texas. Her grandchildren Brandon Jones and wife Jessie, Britney Jones and wife Marci, Shelby Voelkel, Austin Voelkel, and Addyson Voelkel; great granddaughter Kaitlin Jones; and furry companions Tux and Goldie.
She is preceded in death by her husband, August Fred Voelkel, her parents Clinton and Norma Dippel and her sister Vernice Neumann.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Jones, Austin Voelkel, Chris Gremmel, Blake Gremmel Sonny Armato and Darwin Gross. Honary pallbearers will be Veryl Neumann, Rusty Voelkel, Steven Voelkel and Phillip Wiggins.
Memorials may be given to Brazos Valley Hospice or Allumine Health.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main Street, Brenham, Texas 77833.
