Dorothy Kott Goode, 88, of Temple, died November 8, 2008 of a short illness. Mrs. Goode was born May 18, 1920 to Ernest H. and Lillian Frederich Ammons in Chicago, Il. She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, J. Curtis Goode. She was preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, Rudolph L. Kott, Jr., who was employed for Gulf Oil for 40 years in Houston. Her brother, Robert J. Ammons, was killed in Brittany in 1944. Mrs. Goode was an executive secretary retired at Dresser Magcobar now Halliburton in Houston, her home for 36 years. She later lived in Austin and San Marcos before moving to Temple. Dorothy attended the University of Kentucky in Lexington and U. T. Austin. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law Gary L. and Barbara Kott of Montgomery, Tx.; Randolph L. and Ginger Kott of Beaumont, and a daughter and son-in-law, Judy Kott and Mike Paggi of Lakeway, Tx.,. She is also survived by six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Funeral services for Dorothy Goode will be held November 11, 2008 at 3:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel with Pastor Woody Woodward officiating, assisted by Dr. W. C. "Buddy" Burns. Interment will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main.
