Dorothy Faye Dorman-Westerfeld Hannath, widow of Edwin Hannath, died June 25, 2009 in Trinity Care Center. Mrs. Hannath was born in Waco, Texas on March 30, 1922 to Francis Joseph and Nannie Elizabeth Collins Dorman. She graduated from Brenham High School, and on December 23, 1942, she was married to Edwin Hannath in Waco, Texas. Mrs. Hannath was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, and the Sons of Hermann Sister Lodge #11. She will best be remembered for her faithful years of service to the Brenham Banner Press, where, for 43 years, she delivered the newspaper to her friends, neighbors, and many customers in Brenham. Survivors include her children, Barry Hannath and wife Pam of Smithville; Barbara Tegeler and husband Lonnie of Chappell Hill, Roger Hannath and wife Suzanne and Linda Reid and husband Alan, all of Brenham; grandchildren Todd and Rebecca Hannath, Tami and Scott Amen, Christi and Frank Crone, Terri and Rex White, Walt Hannath, Rebecca and Eddie Marshall, Rhonda and Michael Meili, Michael and Priscila Reid, and Timothy Reid; great-grandchildren: Tyler, Taylor, and Kyle Hannath, Jayden Hannath, Harrison, Hannah, and Hallelujah Grace Crone, Rankin, Annabelle, and Ella Grace White, Zachary, Kathryn, and Logan Marshall, Michael, Jr., Nicholas, and Nathan Meili, Caroline and Catherine Reid. She is also survived by a special niece, Melva Hannath, and nieces and nephews Jerry Londonberg, Marsha Anderson, and Peggy Mabry. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, Elizabeth and Chris Westerfeld, and a sister and brother-in-law. Funeral services for Dorothy Hannath will be held Monday, June 29, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Button officiating. Burial will follow in Prairie Lea Cemetery. The family will receive friends and relatives Sunday evening from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Serving as pallbearers are her grandsons: Todd Hannath, Scott Amen, Frank Crone, Rex White, Walt Hannath, Eddie Marshall, Michael Reid, Timothy Reid, and Michael Meili . Memorials may be directed to Christ Lutheran Church, Hospice Brazos Valley, or Trinity Care Center. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham.
