Dorothy M. Hohlt, 78, widow of Wilfred Hohlt, passed away May 12, 2015 at Scott and White Hospital in Brenham. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 a. m., Friday, May 15, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, with Pastor Pat Lehrer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Dorothy Hohlt was born March 11, 1937 in the Hoddeville Community of Washington County to Willie Sr. and Mollie Seilheimer Drews. She was baptized April 18, 1937 at Zion Lutheran Church by Karl Mueller, where she was confirmed March 18, 1951 by Pastor R. J. Weber. On October 12, 1958, Dorothy was married to Wilfred Hohlt by Pastor R. J. Weber at Zion Lutheran Church, where she remained a member until her death. Other memberships included the Mary Martha Circle and the Bluebonnet Club. Dorothy loved to watch her grandkids playing softball and baseball. She worked for her brother''s general contracting business for many years as secretary/bookkeeper. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Ronnie and Sheri Hohlt of Burton; daughters and sons-in-law Carol and Rickey Gaskamp of Brenham, and Debbie and Tony Lynn of Springfield, MO.; grandchildren: Josh and Brook Gaskamp, J. T. and Chelsea Gaskamp, Mallorie Hohlt, Maci Hohlt, Katie Lynn, and Torie Lynn; brother and sister-in-law Milton and Elvera Drews; sister and brother-in-law Marjorie and Weldon Krinke, all of Brenham, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Wilfred, who died April 30; mother-in-law and father-in-law Fred W. C. Hohlt and Selma Schroeder Hohlt; brothers and sisters-in-law Lee Roy and Joyce Drews, and Willie Jr. and Alvira Drews; an infant sister, and a niece, Linda Scott. Serving as pallbearers are Josh Gaskamp, J. T. Gaskamp, Gary Krinke, Craig Blum, Paul Cmajdalka, and Andrew Cmajdalka. Memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church of Zionsville.
