Dustin Galan

Dustin Patrick Galan, 16, of New Caney, went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 1, 2021.  Dustin was born on November 28, 2004 in Humble, TX to Jason and Jennifer Galan.

Dustin had a heart of gold.  He was a family oriented young man and he adored his family more than anything, especially his little cousins.  Dustin’s mind was most often on being in the woods where his passion for hunting and fishing was.  He also enjoyed being in his Paw-Paw’s shop where he loved to build things.

Dustin wanted to be involved in as many activities as possible.  Throughout his school days, he played football, basketball, golf and ran track, amongst many other things.  Dustin was a proud member of the New Caney FFA, where he earned the prestigious Star Greenhand Award as a first year AG student.  He also served as the reporter for the officer team for two years.

Most of all, Dustin loved Jesus Christ.  He asked Jesus into his heart at very early age, and it was his desire each day to serve his Savior in all aspects of his life.

Dustin was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Dewey Luman, Daryel Keen, Clarence Thompson, Sr. and Mary Miller; uncles, Cpl. Samuel Keen and Clarence Thompson, Jr.

Left to cherish Dustin’s memories are his parents, Jason and Jennifer Galan; sisters, Emily Galan and Molly Galan; grandparents, Patrick and Betty Galan, Craig and Nancy Keen; great-grandmothers, Patsy Luman and Iona Keen; aunts and uncles, Deawn Appelgate (Robert), Kimberly Mimms, Kellie Skero (Johnny), Stephen Keen (Sophia), Bonnie Capdepon (Joseph), Stephanie Reeves (Travis); numerous cousins.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2021 at Key Life Fellowship, 22774 Antique Ln., New Caney, TX 77357.  A celebration of Dustin’s life will follow at 11:00 a.m.  He will be laid to rest at Brookside Memorial Park directly following services.
