Earl Wayne Blackburn, 79, of Magnolia, TX, died on January 24, 2021.
Wayne was born on August 28, 1941 in Beaumont, TX to Ruben and Ima Grace Blackburn.
Wayne was an advocate for the Beaumont Police Department and the Harris County Sheriff’s Department Deputy “Marine” Division”. He also a participated in the Army National Guard and was a member of “ASIS” American Society of Industrial Security. Wayne was also a licensed Paralegal specializing in EEOC rights. He also enjoyed electronics and woodworking.
Survivors include his sons and daughters-in-law, John and Kimberly Blackburn of Magnolia, TX; and David and Jaclyn Blackburn of Cypress, TX daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Adam Thames of Cypress, TX; grandchildren, Krystal Wood, Kaylene Blackburn, Bailey Childs, Courtney Blackburn, Jessica Blackburn, Madison Thames, Lilah Thames; and, great-grandchild, Brandon Wood. A sister and brother-in-law Becky and Greg Mather of The Woodlands, TX;
He is preceded in death by his loving wife Patricia “Tydlacka” Blackburn of 37 years, and parents, Ruben and Ima Blackburn.
A visitation will be from 7:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at Memorial Oaks Chapel with the family present from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Wednesday with grave side service at Bethany Christian Church Cemetery.
