Earl Byron Cass, 93, of Brenham, widower of Mary Frances Parker Cass, died May 25, 2010 in Kruse Memorial Lutheran Village. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 29, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with burial following in Prairie Lea Cemetery. Charlie Matejowsky will officiate. The family will receive friends and relatives beginning at 10:00 a.m. Saturday until service time at Memorial Oaks Chapel. Earl Byron Cass was born April 17, 1917 in Belton, Texas to Robert Neal and Maude Lusk Cass. Earl and Mary had lived in the Burton-Brenham area since July, 1979. He had been employed in the chemical industry as a warehouse superintendent. Survivors include his children: Jean Chambers of Brenham, Joan Cowart and husband Melton of Bellville, Earl B. Cass, Jr. of Houston, and Richard Cass of Brenham; eight grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and one sister. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary Frances Cass in 2006, by his parents and nine brothers. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham. 979836-4564.
