Earl Wayne Eggers, age 68, passed away on July 19, 2021.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 30 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Villard Hunter officiating, at Memorial Oaks Chapel.  Visitation with the family will start at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. Burial will be at Independence Cemetery, Independence, TX.

Earl was born on September 12, 1952 in Mattoon, Illinois to Chester and Elizabeth (Borrie) Eggers.  Earl attended Cumberland High School in Toledo, Illinois.  In 1972, Earl served as an MP in Company C, Fifth Battalion, 3rd Brigade of the United States Army, and was stationed in Germany.  He married Juanelle Tracie ( Willis) Jennings on October 25, 1992 in Kissimmee, Florida.  In 1999, they moved to Brenham, Texas where he was employed for 20 years at Longwood Elastomers and retired in 2019.

Earl was a member of Vineyard Church of Brenham and was baptized by Pastor Villard Hunter on June 5, 2005.   He served on the media team for many years. To know Earl was to love him. He always had a big hug or silly joke to share. What Earl cherished the most was his wife, his grandchildren, family and friends.

Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Tracie;  daughter, Jennifer "Joy" Eggers, Brenham, Tx;  son Jeremy “Andy” Eggers and wife Amy, of  Charleston, Il.; adopted son Jon Eggers, Mattoon, Il.; stepson Richard “Ricky” Lowell Jennings, Apopka, Fl.; and stepson,  Michael  “David” Jennings, Iola, Tx;  seven grandchildren:  Tori Oldfield, Sugarland, TX ; Matthew Eggers,  and Lexi Czerpak, of Brenham, Tx;   Ethan and Bella Eggers, Charleston, IL; Brayden and Nick Eggers, Mattoon, IL;  six brothers: Ron Eggers and wife Barbara, Cocoa, Fl ;  Sid Eggers and wife Joy; Delbert Eggers, and Francis Eggers all of Mattoon, Il.;  Phillip Eggers and wife Robin, Jacksonville FL;  David Eggers, Lerna, Il;  six sisters: Delores Shoot, Highland, Il.;  Loretta Lincoln, Pigeon Forge, TN;  Patti Fromherz and husband Eric;  Linda Henderson; Alice Titus and husband George; and Melissa Pugh all of Mattoon, Il. . He was preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers, 6 sisters, and 2 step-grandchildren.
