Earl Ray Neutzler, 63, of Burton, died Oct. 11, 2004, in Trinity Medical Center in Burton. Mr. Neutzler was born May 28, 1941, in Washington County, Texas, to Eric and Ella Meyer Neutzler. He was baptized June 16, 1941 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine and was confirmed April 3, 1955, in the same church. Mr. Neutzler was a graduate of Burton High School and Blinn College. Mr. Neutzler was retired from Con-Tel. He was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine, Burton Lions Club, La Bahia Turn Verein, Burton Fire Department and Burton American Legion Post #242. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Mervin Neutzler. Survivors include his brother, Nelson Neutzler of Burton; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. The funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 14 in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine with Pastor Pamela Werrell officiating. Burial will be in La Bahia Cemetery, near Burton. Mr. Neutzler will lie in state at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 5:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12 until 9:00 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 13. Beginning at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Mr. Neutzler will lie in state at Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. The family will receive visitors at Foehner Funeral Home from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday. Pallbearers will be Billy Koerth, Doyle Reeves, Curtis Wendler, Valgene Neutzler, Glenn Neutzler and Franklin Eckert. Memorials may be given to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Greenvine. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Foehner Funeral Home in Burton. 979-289-3111.
