Edmund B. Bilski, 74, of Brenham, died September 30, 2013 in St. Joseph Rehabilitation Hospital in Bryan. Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Friday, October 4, 2013 at St. Mary''s Catholic Church with Father Lawrence Jozwiak officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 until 8 p.m. Thursday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7 p.m. Edmund Bilski was born October 10, 1938 in Brenham to William and Sophie Mazurkiewicz Bilski. He attended elementary school at St. Mary''s Parochial School, graduated from Brenham High School in 1957, and then attended Blinn College. A member of St. Mary''s Catholic Church, Edmund was an insurance underwriter and salesman for Van Dyke Rankin and Associates from June, 1959 until April of 1987. He then accepted a position as office manager of Pro Auto Supply from December 1988 to February of 2000. He attended the annual One-Arm Hunting Event for a number of years. Edmund enjoyed time spent with his friends, especially those from Felders Bye and Bye. Survivors include sisters Barbara Twardowski of Burnett, Genevie Stegent and Theresa Jozwiak, both of Houston, Gertrude Schuerer of Brenham, and Laura Grocholski of Bryan. Also surviving is his sister-in-law, Martha Bilski, of Anderson, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Nick Bilski and Rev. Harry Bilski, as well as five brothers-in-law. His nephews and great-nephews will serve as pallbearers. Memorials may be directed to St. Mary''s Catholic Church, or to any favorite charity. Funeral arrangements for Edmund B. Bilski are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 W. Main, Brenham.
