Edna Landua Kelm, 97, of Brenham, widow of Edwin Kelm, passed away November 20, 2010 in The Care Center of Brenham. Funeral services are planned for Tuesday, November 23, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul''s Lutheran Church of Rehburg, with interment following in the church cemetery. Pastor Steve Cox will officiate. The family will receive friends and family Monday evening at Memorial Oaks Chapel from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Edna was born March 2, 1913 in Burton, Texas to Paul and Olivia Broesche Landua. She was baptized May 4, 1913 in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg, and later confirmed there on March 24, 1924. Edna attended Washington County area schools. On Feb. 16, 1941, she was married to Edwin Kelm by Rev. C. A. Lehne, also in St. Paul Lutheran Church of Rehburg. Surviving are her sons and daughters-in-law: Gene and Lola Kelm, Leslie and Barbara Kelm, and Glen and Penny Kelm, all of Burton, and daughter and son-in-law, Paulette and Berry Lee Malkey of Brenham; grandchildren Hilee Draehn and husband Royce, Tara Kelm, Kayla Tomak and husband Joshua, and Alicia Kelm; great-grandchildren: Madison Draehn, Joshua David Tomak, Jr., and Kaylee Tomak. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Ruby and Melvin Kelm of Brenham; sisters-in-law Adeline Landua and Esther Legan, and Gladys Wilhemsen and husband Henry. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Edwin, and two brothers, Lespa Landua and R. Lee Landua. Serving as pallbearers are Charles Landua, Karl Duerr, RoyceDraehn, Joshua Tomak, and Marcus Broesche. Memorials may be directed to St. Paul''s Lutheran Church of Rehburg, or to a charity of your choice. Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Memorial Oaks Chapel, 1306 West Main, Brenham. 979836-4564.
